Food Service Hiring for Fall 2024

The Food Service department is now hiring for the fall in the District Food Service program.

Local Norris Scholarships (Link to Norris Counseling Center)

The following is a brief description of the criteria for each scholarship.

Edward R. Baker

Applicants shall have shown an interest and involvement in an area of language arts to include English, drama, speech or journalism. The applicant’s intended future course of study may be considered but shall not be controlling in the awarding of scholarships. The Board shall consider recommendations from members of the Norris High School language arts department and/or faculty. The Board shall also give due consideration to recommendations from members of the Edward Baker family.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Six scholarships are awarded. These scholarships are awarded to students who have truly distinguished themselves as outstanding – academically and in overall leadership

MARTIN

The applicants must be in the top 50% of the graduating class and have been involved in high school athletics all four years. (At least one sport.)

PTO

Four scholarships are awarded to students who have attended Norris School District 160 for at least 5 years, including 3 years in the elementary school. Recipients shall be determined by a majority vote of the Board of Directors of the Foundation and shall be awarded to the female and male runner-up for the Board of Director’s scholarship.

WUNIBALD

This scholarship is to be awarded to a senior planning to attend an accredited university, college, community college, vocational technical school or other 2 or 4-year institution of higher learning. Recipient shall have participated in a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) three of the four years of high school and be a member their senior year. The current CTSO’s at Norris High School are Skills USA-VICA, FFA, FBLA and FCCLA. They shall have demonstrated leadership skills in the community and have dedicated themselves to showing through example the mission behind a CTSO. GPA must be a 3.0 or better. Financial need may be considered in awarding this scholarship.
